This year has been a busy one for our family.  Here is a highlights breakdown of our year

Big Bear Trip

We had been talking about taking the kids up to Big Bear for snow and snowboarding for years. The plan was to rent a cabin over MLK Jr. Day weekend Saturday - Monday, which we did. The snwobrading was great, but the holiday weekend was way too crowded for that little town.

Valentine's Day

Lots of arts, crafts and candy for Isla.

And the parents managed to getaway to Pasadena for a grown folks Valentine's Day

April

We planned a couples getaway to Santa Barbara, and decided to rely soley on the Amtrak, then Uber for transport. Even though we usually stay at the Canary, we wanted something walkable from the train stop, so we stayed on the beach end of state street. Explored more of the little arts district wineries and breweries down there.

Seattle Vacation

Our family vacation this year was Seattle, with Vancouver and Victoria BC sprinkled in. It was a really short flight from our home airport, John Wayne. Once we got in it was really nice.

Maui

We tried the Grand Hyatt in Maui this year for a couples getaway. The resort itself was nice

Hot Chip

In September we finally got to see one of my favorite grousp play live, Hot Chip ...

Halloween

Isla went at Cinderella ...

And we put up spooky decor for the neighborhood trick or treaters ...
